Using Evaluation to Move From Bean Counting to Understanding Your Organization’s Impact
Wed, May 13 @ 10:00 am–12:30 pm
Registration Required

Join us if your organization is trying to figure out how to move beyond outputs…counting sessions, people, hours of service…to outcomes and ultimately, impact? If so, this session is for you!
The non-profit landscape in Kalamazoo County is anchored by a vision of a thriving community. As funders, non-profit organizations, youth, families, schools, and others come together to more clearly define a thriving community, the non-profit community must begin to better understand the difference among outputs, outcomes, and impact and how to build the capacity to measure and communicate about each of the three.
In this workshop participants will:
- Create a framework for identifying their outputs, outcomes, and impact;
- Identify existing and potential strategies for measuring their work; and
- Create a plan for moving forward and building their evaluation capacity.
Participants are asked to bring:
- Questions about how its programs and strategies lead to outcomes and how organizational outcomes contribute to community impact;
- Strategic plans, work plans, Key Performance Indicators;
- Logic models, theories of change; and
- Whatever else you use to learn about how your organization implements its programs, measures outputs and outcomes, and thinks about its impact on the community.
The workshop facilitator, will be available for follow-up after this workshop to ensure you have the support to take action.
This event will be held in person and ONEplace will send the location in a calendar invite one day before the event. We will send a reminder and please add this to your calendar. We also expect this event to reach capacity, so please let us know if your plans change and you can no longer attend.
