KPL Mobile Library
Between 1956–2009, a friendly bookmobile staff visited both the rural and urban areas of Kalamazoo providing materials and services to patrons. During the summer of 2020, Kalamazoo Public Library’s new Mobile Library was delivered and then immediately put into storage because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the summer of 2021, the Mobile Library has been on the road, visiting parks, schools, senior centers, apartment complexes, and community festivals.
In October and November 2023, the Mobile Library visited all Kalamazoo Public School kindergarteners.
In March 2024, the Mobile Library visited all Head Start classes in the Kalamazoo Public Library service district.
