This presentation by the Michigan Department of Civil Rights introduces participants to Michigan’s civil rights laws; Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act and the Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act. Learn about unlawful discrimination, how it appears in employment, housing, education, and public accommodations, and what legal remedies are available. It also outlines the complaint process and how MDCR investigates and enforces civil rights protections.
