First Saturday with Promise to Read

Calling all students, families, and community members who want to develop a strong foundation of literacy. Each month will feature experts, books, hands-on learning, fun, prizes, and more.

  • January 3, 2026 |(Teachers) – Don’t FLY Solo! Unpacking UFLI and ways to bring it to life. Join us for an engaging session where we “fly” together into Day 2 of the UFLI Foundations program. Whether you’re new to UFLI or looking to strengthen your practice, this session will give you the clarity, confidence, and practical strategies you need to bring structured literacy to life in your classroom.
  • February 7, 2026 | (Youth)-OneCard, OnePlace, OneVoice – Did you know that there are “essential practices” that young learners can engage in daily to promote strong literacy development? Come experience these important practices and learn how the OneCard program can enhance these daily literacy experiences.
  • March 7,  2026 | (Families)– Spring into Literacy this month with an interactive training for adults about how to talk, read, and sing more with children.  Talking is Teaching… but what can I talk with my child about? How can I find time within my day to do more? How does this impact their ability to read and write?  You’ll get some great takeaways that you can start using today!
