Join us in our mission to support the Kalamazoo Public Library
If you love books and book people, the Friends is a wonderful place to volunteer. Opportunities exist for those with varying interests, skills, and schedules.
New volunteers will be asked to sign up for weekly training sessions on our front desk where you will gain competency on our cash register and credit card reader and learn our approach to customer service. Once you are trained, you may work regularly or occasionally. Once volunteers become familiar with the operation of the bookstore, other kinds of “behind the scenes” jobs may become available.
