Aerosmith (5/23/1975)
A Wings Stadium Concert Scrapbook Page
Artist(s): Aerosmith w/ Ted Nugent & The Amboy Dukes
Date: 23 May 1975
Tickets: $5.50/$6.50 (general admission)
Attendance: 7,000
Notes: Opening band ‘Kansas’ canceled due to illness. Replaced by Ted Nugent’s band, ‘The Amboy Dukes.’ This would mark the first of many times that both Aerosmith and Nugent would appear at Wings Stadium.
Setlist (Aerosmith*): Make It, Toys in the Attic, The Train Kept A-Rollin’, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Same Old Song and Dance, S.O.S. (Too Bad), Mama Kin, Somebody, Dream On.
Setlist (The Amboy Dukes*): Intro – Hibernation, Stranglehold**, Lady Luck, Pony Express, Queen of the Forest, Living in the Woods, Where Have You Been All My Life, Papa’s Will.
*unconfirmed, but likely similar based on other performances around the same time (Dayton, OH & Upper Darby, PA).
**It is known that Nugent was trying out new material on this tour. If “Stranglehold” was indeed performed, it would have been new to the audience and several months ahead of its commercial release.
