Cultivating Board Excellence is an engaging and practical workshop designed to help board members lead with confidence and clarity. Participants will gain an understanding of board roles and responsibilities, learn strategies to foster collaboration by building a positive board culture, and discover simple tips and tricks to run effective, productive meetings. For both new and experienced board members, this workshop will equip participants with knowledge, skills and confidence to lead with purpose.

• Participants will gain a clear understanding of the board’s fiduciary duties and responsibilities.
• Participants will consider what it means for a board to be a strong, supportive employer of the Executive Director and to recruit, onboard, and support new board members well.
• Participants will learn ideas for building a positive, engaged board culture.
• Participants will take away practical tips for running meetings that are focused, efficient, and effective.
