Order Digital Copies of Local History Photographs
Copies of most of our photographs are available on Flickr. If this is sufficient for your needs, simply save the file using your web browser. If you would like a higher quality image, please provide us with the P-number and title of each photograph. This information is provided in the citation for each photo in our online database.
All photographs must be credited to the Clarence L. Miller Family Local History Room, Kalamazoo Public Library, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Digital copies will use 8-bit, sRGB color, and are 300 DPI .jpeg files (8-compression) at the size of the original print.
The charge is two dollar ($2.00) per image for scans that can be e-mailed. Your e-mail client must be able to accept files up to 2Mb in size. If you need the images burned onto a CD-R and mailed to you there is an additional charge of three dollars ($3.00) for materials and postage.
All requests must be pre-paid.
Do not send payment until you have been contacted by a local history staff person with the total amount due and an invoice number. Payment can be made online using a credit card or a PayPal account. If you prefer to pay by check or money order, please make them payable to Kalamazoo Public Library.
Please remember to include your name and e-mail address (or mailing address if you are requesting a CD-R) with your order.
We try to fill orders promptly, but sometimes we have a backlog of requests, please contact [email protected] for the status of your order.
If you have very specific requirements about file types, color profiles, or digital restoration, or if you need extremely high-resolution images, please contact the local history room for information and pricing.

Please note: Our database includes photographs from the collections of Western Michigan University and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum as well as our collection. We can only provide digital copies of photographs that WE OWN. For information on obtaining copies of materials held by WMU or the Museum please contact:
