New Patron Computers at ALL KPL Locations!
Installation Occurs February 10–14
KPL is installing new patron computers at all of our five locations. Installation begins February 10 and will conclude February 14. Please note that computer access at Central Library may be disrupted during this transition phase.
What’s new?
- Windows 10
- Office 2019
- New scanning station with photo enhancement and text translation features
- Each KPL location will have an adaptive PC with ZoomText, Jaws software and specialized accessories including a keyboard, mouse and headphones
- Mobile print from anywhere, any device using ePrintit Public Print. Patrons can print from home and pick up at any KPL location
- All printing and copy costs can be paid for with cash or credit card at the print kiosk—no need to stop at the desk to add money to your account!

Each KPL location will also have two specialized iMacs, one for music editing/creation and one with Adobe Creative Suite.
New Public Catalogs (OPACS)
KPL also recently replaced all of our old public catalogs with 24″ touchscreen which utilizes an on-screen keyboard and an ergonomic mount for all heights including wheelchair accessibility and easy to navigate user interface.
