Amanda Green Scholarship

The goal of the Amanda Green Scholarship, named after library assistant in Teen Services, is to promote the library profession to people of color. By providing monetary assistance to an individual(s), KPL hopes to promote the hiring of more librarians of color at either at home or in other communities.

Proceeds from the sale of gently-used, gently-priced books, movies, music, and more at Friends of Kalamazoo Public Library Bookstore support KPL programs such as Reading Together, Summer Reading Challenge, and more, as well as fund individual project/education scholarships for KPL Staff. When you shop at Friends bookstore, you are not only getting a great deal, but you are also directly supporting your favorite library, KPL! You can shop online, or in person.
