All Kalamazoo Public Library Locations will Reopen June 1!
What You Need to Know About Your Next Visit
Great news! All Kalamazoo Public Library locations will reopen for in-person services on Tuesday, June 1. Curbside service will still be offered for patrons who prefer to have their items delivered outside.
KPL Location Hours:
Additional services that will be returning on June 1 include:
- Magazines and newspapers
- Circulating technology including iPads and Chromebooks
- Video games in the Teen area at Central Library
- Study rooms will be available
- Virtual programming will continue for all ages
- Curbside service will be available at all locations
What patrons need to know:
- All Kalamazoo Public Library locations are following the mandates issued by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). Masks are required to enter all KPL locations with the following exceptions:
- The patron is fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus
- The patron has a medical exemption that prevents them from wearing a mask
- The patron is under the age of two-years-old
- Masks will be available at all locations for patron needs
- Meeting spaces will not be available for reservation until further notice
- In-person programming remains suspended until further notice
- All KPL locations will welcome patrons into the library up to 50% of the building capacity
June 1 is also the first day to sign up for the KPL Summer Reading Challenge! Gameboards are available in the summer issue of PRISM and additional copies can be picked up at your local KPL location beginning June 1 or printed here.
