Classics Revisited Book Club

The Classics Revisited book club has been a part of KPL for over 15 years. Started by a group of literature-lovers in the community, our group welcomes anyone interested in discussing books many regard as classics.

We have a very broad understanding of the word “classics,” not only including old masters such as Shakespeare and Mark Twain, but also modern classics like Voyage of the Narwhal and graphic novels like Maus. While our usual focus is novels, we also have read short stories, plays, poetry, and some nonfiction. We also like to read diversely and include classics from other countries and cultures.

We meet in the swanky Board Room on the 3rd floor of the Central library from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm on the third Thursday of the month, September through May. During the summer, we have our “Big Summer Read” where we read a longer book and discuss it when we resume our meetings in September.
