Miller Station School

Oshtemo Township


Location: District #14 – Section 28, originally on the north side of West ML Avenue, west of South 6th Street. Moved across the road in 1904 to the southwest corner of ML Avenue and 6th Street to accommodate the rerouted Michigan Central Railroad line. Schoolhouse burned in 1916 and was rebuilt.

Miller Station, also known as Miller, was a place on the Michigan Central Railroad. The school was annexed into the Oshtemo school district in 1954, and closed after the 1953-54 school year. For additional details, see our web site Miller’s Station: Ghost Town in Western Kalamazoo County.
