The Nonprofit Board Service Opportunities page gives Kalamazoo County nonprofit organizations a central place to share open board positions. Strong boards are essential to a healthy nonprofit sector and connecting organizations with community members who are ready to lead, govern, and serve is a natural extension of our work.
Board service is one of the most meaningful ways to invest in the causes you care about, yet many nonprofits struggle to find the right people to serve. This page helps close that gap by making board opportunities visible in one trusted place.
To post an opportunity on the Board Service page, please make sure your submission meets the following requirements:
- The opportunity must be for a Kalamazoo County-based nonprofit organization.
- The posting must be submitted in PDF format.
- Include a brief description of the organization’s mission.
- Describe the board role and expectations, including meeting frequency, term length, committee involvement, and any give/get or fundraising expectations.
- Note any specific skills, experience, or perspectives the board is seeking.
- Provide clear directions for how interested individuals can learn more or apply.
- Postings will be removed after 90 days unless you contact us to close them earlier.
