School No. 4/Curry School
Portage Township
Location: District #4 – Section 17, west side of Oakland Drive between Schuring Road and Centre Avenue.
Originally built about 1855 as a wooden Greek Revival building. It has apparently been known variously as Curry School and as School #4, although when each was used is not clear. It was consolidated in 1924 and destroyed in a suspicious fire the following year.
