Pavilion School?

Pavilion Township

Location: District #8 – Section 27, northwest corner of S Avenue and 32nd Street.

Kalamazoo County 1890, Published by Wm. C. Sauer. Local History Room

In the front of the 1935-36 county school directory, there is a typed list of county schools with their names and districts. It identifies this school as “Pavilion.”  Since that is the only source we know of that gives a name to the school in this district, we are unable to verify it. And since there are several known errors on this list, the naming of it is somewhat suspect. It shows as an unnamed school house symbol in the 1890 and 1928 atlases.
