Summary

It's the long hot summer of 1959 and wedding season is in full swing in the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester. As the Reverend Will Davenport unites happy couples in holy matrimony, Detective Inspector Geordie Keating finds himself trying to repair his own marriage to estranged wife Cathy. With a new decade just around the corner, the question of what the future holds is on everyone's minds. Former curate Leonard Finch embarks on a new venture, while housekeeper Mrs. Chapman receives news which tests her faith and usual sense of certainty. Will too faces some difficult decisions about the man he wants to be and what he wants from his life, and when one of his and Geordie's investigations brings danger to the vicarage door, Will has a realization that might well change life in Grantchester forever.
