Summary

It's five years later, and little has changed for metal-detecting enthusiasts Lance and Andy. Although he's a qualified archaeologist, Andy has grown disillusioned with the profession and instead continues to scour the English countryside for treasure with Lance. But now the future of the Danebury Metal Detecting Club is in peril, as they need funds to save their Scout hall from demolition. Things start looking up when Lance gets permission to search a prime spot of land, and he and Andy unearth evidence of a Saxon battlefield. They're on the verge of what may be their greatest discovery ever--until Lance finds a remarkable relic and breaks protocol, endangering his friendship with Andy.
