Summary
Javed, a British Pakistani teen living in Luton, England, in 1987, writes poetry to escape pressure from his father at home and racial intolerance at school. But he finds inspiration and hope from an unexpected source--Bruce Springsteen--whose music empowers Javed to find his own unique voice.
