Summary

Woodrow Call is a wizened bounty hunter who has endured the death of his son and the financial failure of his Montana ranch. When a wealthy railroad president hires him to track down a young, cold-blooded bandit, Call travels south to seek out the fugitive and along the way encounters an array of old acquaintances, including his faithful ex-comrade.
