Summary

America's favorite superhero and cultural icon, Superman made his comic book debut in 1938 and has rocketed to multimedia stardom over the past 75 years. This collection features the first animations of the character, in seventeen shorts produced between 1941 and 1943 by Fleischer Studios and Famous Studios. Joining the beloved superhero in this 75th anniversary collection are a cavalcade of 20th century icons, including: Betty Boop, Popeye, Little Lulu and Casper brought to life by some of the most imaginative animators of the classic era.
