Summary
In this six-part British drama, a coldly efficient contract killer named Mia harbors a secret: she is a pre-operative transgender woman. Her solitary life is sent into a tailspin when she receives a letter from her dying ex, Wendy. The letter reveals that Mia has an 11-year-old son from their former relationship and in her will, Wendy has appointed Mia the legal guardian of this child and three other half-siblings. Still struggling to establish her own identity, Mia drives out to the Yorkshire countryside and meets the confused, resentful children. Mia attempts to reconcile her killer instincts with her new maternal ones, but a lethal assassin at the heart of a troubled family can only fill their lives with more tension--and change them forever.
