Kalamazoo '76 - Digitally Restored 2016 Edition

In 1976, the “showcase” of Kalamazoo’s commemoration of the nation’s Bicentennial was a 3-screen multi-image slide show. This 53-minute program was assembled by a team of local historians, technicians, and voice actors, employed the most innovative audiovisual technology of the time, and was shown throughout the entire Bicentennial year in a specially built theater in the basement of the building that is now the Radisson Hotel to an audience totaling more than fifty thousand. This digital version was recently restored by David Curl, the original producer.

Recorded 01/01/1976
