Kalamazoo, MI journalist and author Mark Wedel spent the month of May 2017 pedaling his cheap cruiser-type bicycle from Pittsburgh, PA to Washington, D.C. on the trails of the Great Allegheny Passage and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath. His book, ‘Mule Skinner Blues,’ hilariously chronicles that trip with dips into history, politics, and much more along the way.
