Albert Dixon – Gus

Albert Dixon -- Gus

Kalamazoo Public Library presents Writers’ Block, a forum where independently published local writers can tell the world about their work. This episode features author Albert Dixon, discussing his novel Gus.

This is the story of a young boy taken from Chicago by his mother back to her family farm in North Carolina and the estranged relationship with his grandfather. The terror of the unknown is buffered by a goose named Gus.

Albert Dixon has been writing for more than 20 years. Copies of his book Gus can be found at KPL. Dixon also wrote the novel Shoot, Move, and Communicate about his first tour in Vietnam. This is also available at KPL.
