"This is a 30-minute documentary on how art has changed the lives of local residents. The show was produced and hosted by Channel 3 public affairs director Nancy Bruce in cooperation with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and it aired on Christmas Day 1993 on WWMT, Channel 3. Featured here is David Dixon of Kalamazoo, who was homeless and at rock bottom a few years before he was encouraged to pursue his talent in art. Now his drawings and paintings have become a way for him to express his view of life. In addition, Dixon visits schools to encourage others to explore art"--Container.
