Summary
When a film crew arrives in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts to make a movie, the director hires Frank Raven to look after VelCro, the wildly erratic young woman who stars in the film. Raven, a former monk, police officer, and private detective, reluctantly takes on the job, but soon discovers there is more to his rebellious charge than meets the eye. But tragedy strikes during filming and VelCro is swept away in a raging river, leaving Frank to discover exactly what happened.
