The rock and roll circus was an event put together by The Rolling Stones filmed over two days in December of 1968. It was originally intended to be broadcast as a television special, but was not released until 1996. Featuring several prominent acts of the sixties, The rock and roll circus captures the spontaneity, aspirations and communal spirit of an entire era.
