Summary

Parchment was the company town that Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment Company founder Jacob Kindleberger founded for his employees. This film shows early footage of the town (some aerial) including Kindleberger's house, along with footage from the mill and processes used in parchmentizing paper. A handwritten note on the disc surface states that "JK [Jacob Kindleberger] had a crew from Hollywood bring a camera to make the movie. He hired a plane to fly over Parchment." The handwritten notes on the disc surface are from former KVP employee, Joe Chadderdon.

Notes
