In THE GREAT TOURS: GERMANY AND AUSTRIA, you'll visit sites across both countries to discover the history and the natural and man-made wonders that make these places enthralling and memorable destinations for travelers. From Vienna and Regensberg to Dresden and Graz, and locales in between, you'll encounter both well-known and lesser-known sites to visit.James Pfrehm is an independent scholar who taught German language, literature, and culture at the university level for more than 20 years. He received his doctorate in Germanic Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has taught at universities in Germany, presented research at numerous conferences, and led workshops on teaching languages with technology. Dr. Pfrehm has been recognized by the Student Governance Council at Ithaca College for his outstanding teaching, and he has earned various institutional grants to take students abroad. He is the author of Technolingualism and Austrian Standard German, and he is the author or coauthor of two foreign language textbooks. He is also a published playwright with multiple plays produced by theaters in the United States and Canada.
