Summary

Talented Tenth: The Student Edition is a collection of poetry about being socially conscious, love, the youth, the justice system, and poet Dr. Raheem I. Reese's life. The poems within are candid, concise, and honest. Tactful, and with appropriate language, Talented Tenth comes from the perspective of someone who was given an undesirable hand in life and is still winning in the game of life. Success is always possible in spite of life's circumstances and challenges. Be the example. About the Author: Dr. Raheem I. Reese is the sixth child of six children. He was born and raised in California, but moved to New Jersey early in life. He received his BA at Rutgers University, his MEd at Howard University, and his EdD at Nova Southeastern University. He volunteered and mentored as an educator, but his greatest honor is being the father of his only child. Reese coached football and was a coach for his daughter's special needs soccer team. His permanent hobbies include being a father for his daughter, an example for at-risk youth, and a poet. He takes all three of those seriously, and enjoys them.
