This week in the store we have a spotlight on Michigan books. This collection is a mixed bag of books about Michigan’s history, environment, people, and books by Michigan authors both fiction and nonfiction. There are some very nice books here. Many would make lovely gifts. Speaking of gifts, we are continuing to add to our Gift-Quality Book Sale. Remember us as you start or continue your holiday shopping.
Every week we add new books to our Gift-Quality Books Sale. And, of course we always add hundreds of new books each week to our bookstore shelves. Think of us as you start or continue your holiday shopping this season.
I have a couple ideas to share that could help simplify some of your holiday challenges. Here are three gift suggestions I think you can use.
1. Gift Quality Books – Last Friday was the first day of our Annual Gift Book Sale. At this sale you will find “gift quality” books, simply put that means books that look brand new. This sale is held while supplies last. I think you will be pleased to find great gift books still available. But, hurry!
2. Gift Certificates – what a wonderful gift for a book lover! At the Friends Bookstore, a small investment in funds reaps a big reward. This is a place where you will get bang for your buck!
3. Peruse our shelves – I guarantee that there are plenty of books on our shelves that would make lovely gifts. Although not all the books on the shelves may be “gift quality” there are so many interesting topics and new and popular titles that you are sure to find something great to give as a gift.
We look forward to seeing you.
The holiday season is in full swing. I was surprised by the explosion of Christmas trees and outdoor holiday lights that appeared almost overnight in my neighborhood last weekend. I’m grateful; it gave me the nudge I needed to get started on my holiday to-do list.
