Free Tax Preparation in Kalamazoo County

  • VITA – provided by IRS-certified volunteers, for families/individuals with household income less than $64,000 in 2023. Dial 2-1-1 to make appointment.
  • ARP Foundation Tax-Aide – for people with low-to-moderate income who are over 50 or living with a disability. Volunteers at four sites provide this service, by appointment, at:

    “If you received certain types of income, you may receive a Form 1099. For example, if you received taxable interest of $10 or more, the payer is required to provide or send Form 1099 to you no later than January 31, 2024 (or by February 15, 2024, if furnished by a broker). If it is mailed, you should allow adequate time to receive it before contacting the payer.
