YWCA Healthy Relationships Series Part 2 — Domestic Violence
Wed, October 27, 2021 @ 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Registration Required

Join the YWCA Kalamazoo and ONEplace for part 2 of a virtual Healthy Relationship series, this time focusing on Domestic Violence. Time will be spent comparing healthy and abusive relationships, the reviewing seven forms of Intimate Partner Violence, including sexual assault, the influence of power and control, warning signs, consent, how individuals can help themselves and others, and resources available at the YWCA.
By using engaging presentations rooted in the empowerment model, bystander intervention, and violence prevention, the YWCA Healthy Relationships Presentation Series aims to raise awareness, build personal and collective responsibility, and provide skills to challenge violence throughout our lives and community. These community education presentations will also focus not only on how to support survivors, but also to prevent violence from occurring within a relationship.
This is an interactive workshop and participants are encouraged to stay for the entire workshop and to keep their cameras on as much as able.
Presented by Bionca Stewart, YWCA Kalamazoo.
*Healthy relationships covers all relationships not just intimate partners and/or romantic partners.
