Talk Read Sing Playgroup at Washington Square with cartoon animals singing and learning

Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing” is a public awareness and action campaign that helps parents recognize their power to boost their children’s early brain and vocabulary development through simple, everyday actions — like describing things while walking outside, or singing songs together during bath time. Come to the library for this drop-in event to connect and play with other caregivers and children in the community. Educational toys will be available. Each month will have a topic and an early literacy take-home kit.

On a weekly basis, WSQ’s playgroup will feature a partnership with Bronson’s Baby Talk and Toddler Talk groups. Caregivers will have the opportunity to speak with a registered nurse about any childcare questions and concerns while their children play and interact with each other.
