Summary

A year has passed since Martin resigned his medical license, and his wife, Louisa, is now the one seeing patients as a child counselor, while he looks after their own two young children. But does the Doc truly never want to practice medicine again? Meanwhile, Portwenn's villagers are moving forward with their lives--some more successfully than others. Mrs. Tishell takes her obsession with the Doc to new heights, while Ruth attempts to help tackle his blood phobia once and for all. PC Penhale tries to rekindle an old romance, and Morwenna has some qualms about her new job. Bert is at loose ends, whereas Al's food truck venture is thriving. When a prestigious opportunity arises for Martin, will the Ellinghams decide to leave their quirky costal town?
