Summary

When retired detective Alexa Crowe moved back to her hometown of Auckland, New Zealand, she expected to bake some amazing sourdough and reconnect with her dodgy brother, who's set to be released from prison. But it didn't take long until this irrepressible investigator found herself poking her nose into bizarre, unsolved murder cases. With help from data analyst Madison, DI Harry Henare, and cafe owner Reuben, Alexa faces off against suspects from tango dancers to doomsday prepper, murderous retirees to fiery fashionistas. They all soon learn that you underestimate Alexa Crowe at your own risk.
