Summary
In a future world of rampant global warming and startling scientific advances, humans share every aspect of their lives with sophisticated companion robots called Mechas. A prototype child robot named David has been programmed to love unconditionally--but when he is abandoned by a human family unprepared for this characteristic, he finds himself alone in a strange and dangerous world. Befriended by a streetwise Mecha, David begins a quest to discover the secret of his own identity.
