Summary

A poor shoeshine boy can't find any customers so he comes up with a clever idea -- he offers to do the job for free -- but only one shoe, which forces the customer to have to pay if he wants the other shoe shined also. The boy then feels badly about tricking his customers and decides to stay honest, even if it means he will go hungry.
