Summary
Thirteen-year-old George struggles to deal with the death of his father and is helped through this trying time by his friendship with a dog named Tucker. When he finds he may lose Tucker, he does something in secret to hold onto his companion, only to find himself riddled with guilt for a bad choice and harmful repercussions. George's attempts to fix his mistake (and become a better man like his father), however, may cost him the best friend he has ever known.
