Summary

RFK, a biography of Robert F. Kennedy written and directed by David Grubin for AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, takes as its theme lines from Aeschylus that Kennedy often used: "He who learns must suffer." Grubin looks at Senator Kennedy's remarkable and tragic life, including the pivotal roles he played in many of the major events that defined the 1960s: the Cuban Missile Crisis, the civil rights movement, and the war in Vietnam.
