Summary

Medgar Evers was a former insurance salesman turned field secretary for the NAACP. He was instrumental in the desegregation of the University of Mississippi and organizing boycotts against discriminating southern white merchants. His battle for equality would shockingly end with his assassination at the hand of white supremacist Byron De La Beckwith.
