Summary

When David Bowie first met Lou Reed in the early 1970s, a bond was formed between the pair that would last until Lou's sad demise in 2013. Built on huge mutual respect, a love of each others music and a shared passion for living and working as close to the edge as anyone in the music industry has ever strayed, these two iconic artists, despite occasional rifts, remained close and worked together as late as 2003. This film charts the parallel careers of Bowie and Reed, focusing on their joint collaborations, shared interests and other connections. Replete with rare footage, exclusive and archive interviews, and contributions from those who were there when the pair were at their most cooperative, this film takes an unusual and unique approach to documenting one of modern musics most fascinating partnerships.
