Summary
17-year-old Troy is an overweight teen who is so miserable he wants to end it all, but he's saved at the last moment by rebellious high-school dropout Marcus, who needs a drummer for his punk rock band. Somehow the musically-challenged Troy not only regains his latent drumming skills, but he finds out how perfectly he fits in this new fantasy world of music, girls, and popularity. As Troy revels in his new life, his father grows increasingly concerned about some of the darker sides of fame.
