Summary

When Israel is attacked by a nuclear missile, an 11-year-old boy and his father take shelter in an underground bunker. They must adjust to a new way of life in their cramped underground quarters, and emotionally deal with the death of the boy's mother six months earlier. Soon the boy realizes that his father has been keeping some secrets in the underground shelter that are too terrible to tell.
