Summary

Charly, a gentle retarded man, is befriended by his nightschool teacher who persuades a famous clinic to do experimental neuro-surgery on him to improve his learning capabilities. The results are spectacular at first, but when the effects of his operation inexplicably begin to fade, Charly must find a way to halt his regression ... before his own mind destroys his life, his newfound romance and the man he's become.
