Summary

Dale Jackson is a Criminologist in private practice on Queensland's Gold Coast. A former Army Intelligence Analyst and Police Senior Crime Prevention Officer, his specialist fields include personal safety for women and children. Parents are the gatekeepers for child protection and training children about sexual safety and stranger danger. They can't afford to rely on anyone else. Protecting Kids Made Simple is designed to empower parents with knowledge to train children at home from four years old to stop the unthinkable happening. Dale holds a belief that it's far better to spend the time training children to counter sexual abuse than spend the time repairing them as shattered teenagers or broken adults. You can never overprotect a child! For parents to effectively protect children against sexual abuse they need to understand their child's enemy, the opportunity or situational child molester and preferential paedophile, their motivations, behaviour patterns and child sex offender warning signs. The right time to start talking to children about sexual safety and street abduction is a bridge all parents must cross. The younger a child is exposed to a new discipline in life the sooner they'll master it and the safer they'll become. Dale Jackson has developed two training strategies to protect children: The SAT Program (Sexual Abuse Training) - about building a five-step wall of protection, an early intervention strategy to harden children against the risk of inappropriate adult sexual behaviour from the time they learn to wash their hands and communicate with adults. The CAT Program (Counter Abduction Training) - about stranger danger, child safety beyond the front gate, dealing with strangers, safety in numbers, the power of screaming, safe routes to school, safe collection after school, and Car Pull-up Drills to counter street abduction. The reality is that most stranger-related child abductions are sexually motivated. It's imperative that children learn to react instinctively and immediately to counter any threat whether the threat is real or imaginary. Too many innocent children have dressed for school one morning and didn't get to go home.
