Summary
The classic film, with an all-star cast, based on the short story by Ernest Hemingway: Renowned writer Harry Street lies dying on the frozen slopes of Kilimanjaro, wounded in a hunting accident and waiting for rescue he fears will never come. He reflects back on his life, remembering loves lost and what he sees as his failures as a writer, as he waits to die. Through all this, his loving wife, Helen, with her care and attention, works to awaken in him his fighting spirit and will to live.
