“I grew up coming to the library as a child in the sixties and remember being fascinated by the tiny furniture: just the right size for me! When I was about eleven I wanted to check out a book from the adult section and was denied because I wasn't old enough. I protested, my mother protested, and I was sent upstairs to talk to the Director, who much have been Mark Crum at the time.
Looking back, I think he was amused at my young self marching up those stairs and meeting with him in his office(how scary that was!) and he granted me an adult card. I felt pretty special.”
