Have you ever wanted to know what happens behind the scenes at the library? Do you like to share your opinion and make the world a better place? Do you need relevant experiences for resumes and college applications? We are looking for teens in grades 9-12, ages, 14 and older, to join our Teen Task Force. We’d love to have you join us!
To volunteer, just fill out the form below and submit (for students, 14 and up, in grades 9-12). We’ll email you after we’ve received your application to schedule an orientation session. The Teen Task Force events are listed in the KPL event calendar. Once your application is accepted and you’ve attended orientation, you can join in on as many tasks as you’d like, depending on your interest and availability. Tasks will range from 1-3 hours and will be offered after-school and on evenings and weekends. We’ll do things like help develop program ideas, assist programming staff in hosting events, or decorate the teen space for a party. We’ll have tasks for a variety of interests and skill levels.
For more information, contact Lead Librarian, Natalie Isham, in Teen Services.
